What Happens in a Service?
If you are planning a visit, our service starts at 10:30 a.m. We usually have a quiet time from 10:00 a.m. if you would like to pray, with worship songs playing in the background from 10:15 a.m. to help us prepare for the service. There is a disabled access ramp at the side of the church for those who need wheelchair access.
Our services are warm and welcoming, and there are opportunities to both pray and sing (including both older hymns and more contemporary worship songs) as we worship God. We use iSingWorship and multimedia in our services, and include a children’s message before the children leave for Sunday School. Each week, we have a sermon—usually part of a sermon series—and prayers of intercession for the world. Our services last approximately 60 minutes.
Normally, we have tea, coffee, and biscuits after the service in our church hall. However, on the first Sunday of the month, we have a faith meal, where everyone brings food and snacks to share. All are welcome to stay for an unhurried time of fellowship.
On the final Sunday of the month, we have an informal Café Service, where we meet around tables, enjoying tea, coffee, and cake. These services are interactive and provide opportunities to learn God's word by sharing together, using craft activities and videos.
Communion takes place on the third Sunday of the month and is open to all who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour.
